ICONOMI: A Crypto Whale In Progress?

- Oh no, another ICONOMI post!

Full disclosure first, I've invested a little bit (and early on) in ICONOMI crowdsale without too much knowledge of how much success it was gonna have in reaching their initial goals. Now after a couple of Forbes, Financial Magnates and other recent articles the amount of attention escalated tremendously and they are closing in to being one of the top crowdsales in internet history.

However, the point of this post is not explaining how it works but envisioning how the "fund" will actually behave in the future. If you have some detective skills like me, you may discover that they already promote certain coins like Ethereum (being a smart contract), Lisk and Xaurum for example (you can see Xaurum logo in some of their banners and the main developer is a escrow). Xaurum in particular is an unknown project from Turkey based on gold (not exactly but similar to Digix DAO, they both use Ethereum blockchain).

So what we can deduct from this?

Well, ICONOMI could definitely support and invest heavily and regularly into these projects (and many upcoming ones) behaving like a "whale", which is known in Steemit and trading circles as an investor or trader with a lot of firepower. In this case, the whale itself would be composed of minnows, dolphins, and yes even jellyfishes (aka ICN token holders).

The real question is, what if ICONOMI becomes one of the the biggest crypto whale?

Anything that touches could instantly pump, not only because of the actual buying from their side and their performance funds but from the news getting released that they are invested. This could have huge influence on smaller projects which would create some insane especulation. I personally didn't consider this a month ago when I invested but I can truly see the potential now after the success of the crowdsale.
