Bitcoin Over $8,200, SFC Warns Exchanges......

On Monday Bitcoin was over $8,000. On Tuesday we saw it drop below$6,000 on some exchanges. We then saw it climb all the way past $8,500 yesterday before falling a bit again. Today it remains above$8,000. Ether remains above $800 and we saw Bitcoin Cash climb past$1,300 today.

Cryptocurrencies are becoming a popular topic at US universities. Universities including Duke, Cornell and MIT are offering on the cryptocurrency world and its blockchain technology.

Hong Kong regulator the securities and futures commission has warned seven cryptocurrency exchanges in Hong Kong or with connections to Hong Kong that they should not trade cryptocurrencies which are "securities" as defined in the Securities and Futures Ordinance without a licence.

Moving over to other news. Canadian Cryptocurrency exchange Coinsquare has secured funding of around $30 million as it closed an equity financing round led by Canaccord Corp.
