My best friend...
Last year, around this time, my best friend lay dying. She had diabetes, was missing a leg her entire life, and was nearly 11 years old. I spent the last year of her life taking her to the vet and sobbing. I captured this image during one of her last visits, and though it broke my heart to see it again, it is cathartic as well.

Thank you. She was recovering from a seizure but was, for that period, doing fairly well.
