Who is Bianca Andreescu?
Bianca Vanessa Andreescu was in news recently. On August 11, 2019, Andreescu became the first Canadian female to win the Canadian Open in singles since Faye Urban in 1969.
In the final of the 2019 US Open, she defeated Serena Williams, becoming the first Canadian to represent Canada and the first player to win a Grand Slam single title in the 2000s.
On September 9, 2019, as ranked by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), she achieved a career-high singles ranking №5.
