Freewrite Day 200 - Party time!!!

It was Daniel's 5th Birthday party. Everyone was Dressing Up. Everyone!
What were they going to wear?
The kids went and cried to their Mum - "we need costumes - we need them NOW!! (please - always have to say please!)
Their Mum appreciated the situation and took them into Toyland's costume section. All of this at the last minute. Anything for the sake of peace.
They picked out their costumes (princess dress and fireman suit) It was ok - they had to get Daniel's present anyway.

When the kids got to the party, all the other kids were wearing jeans or casual gear.
"What happened to the costumes?"
"Oh - sorry Penny. Didn't your kids tell you? We decided to take all the children to Inflatable World instead. So with all the slides and jumping castles the costumes wouldn't have worked. We called the costumes off."
Her kids immediately looked upset and wanted to go home and get changed. Daniel looked smug - he was obviously supposed to pass the message on about the change and 'forgot' to do so.

She thought about it. "Okay - lets go home quickly, get you changed and you can meet the kids there."
She also thought in her head that her daughter's birthday was coming up in 3 weeks. She would book a fabulous costume party at the new Fantasy world and send an invite to everyone but 'Oh' Daniel's invite will happen to get lost in the mail.
