Punk Rock Diplomacy

I am well versed in the "Red Threat" circa 1980's. It took decades to get over the Communist Threat. 80's pop culture had a evil communist at every facet of society ready to destroy American Freedom. News Flash, The U. S. Government has stolen more American Freedom than any Communist Country. With American jobs and manufacturing going to Communist China since the 90's without any mention of Communism, I have the feeling I was duped into a manufactured threat.

I no longer believe Russia is bad, I don't want to revisit the fear of Russia narrative from the old Soviet Union days. People are just trying to survive and raise families, put food on the table. The government is not going to make me hate people I will never meet or visit, a global Boogeyman with fictional threats

I have a songs by a Punk Rock group called the Lillingtons whose lyrics I considered outdated until now:

The Lillingtons in 2006 with their album the "Too Late Show"described the essence of the 80's manufactured angst against Soviet Russia and now the current Russian crisis in Urkraine. Its Punk Rock at it's most absurdly prophetic. I choose World peace.
