Charlie

Charlie, my daughter's Golden Retriever, has an easygoing personality, especially when it comes to photos.

Perhaps it's because he is so used to being the subject, having featured in at least three films and countless stills.

If he has one annoying trait it's a reluctance to come home from a walk, to the point of literally lying down as a dead weight on realising we were on the return leg of a walk.

I discovered the only way around this (treats, threats, dragging having all failed) was to take him somewhere new for each walk, so he was happy to get back in the car after the walk, and then, with the resigned air of someone who has been fooled, reluctantly get out of the car at home.
