Maidsafe Coin = Tor 2.0
Disclaimer : I am an early investor in Safecoin (Maidsafe will be exchanged for Safecoin when latter become fully operational) and have purchased more recently.
We all have seen the drudgery of alt-coin scams and many of us see all new crypto with those lenses. But Maidsafe as a technology is revolutionary. It has the most non-marketable name till date and is flying under the radar.

Tor in itself is a great resource but it has not been successfully channeled to masses. Maidsafe can change that. It further unlocks a huge underused resource. It can disrupt multiple industries. Many file and web hosting companies have invested decades and billions of dollars in creating massive web services infrastructure, Maidsafe is in a position to create a better alternative with far smaller barriers to entry, more features (security, decentralization, fault tolerance) all built into it.
Don't let the name discourage you from seeing the potential of Maidsafe

Yep. I wonder how well it will work in production mode.
The interesting bit is they are taking their time. Have a good product roadmap, vision and team. Their only competitor will be Kim Dotcom's hosting service, operational using Bitcoin. But Maidsafe is far ahead in the game.
great work! I like maidsafe too. Just wish they could figure out the economics side of the coin and how it will be used. Alpha might give insights though ;)
Thanks. The economics of it is to be evolved. But consider this scenario. I have 100 GB of free space 30-40 Mbps of free bandwidth. Most of my side projects are good to be hosted on this. But I do not want to expose my laptop and home to the Internet. But can I trade my free resources to get similar decentralized resources? Wow! With Maidsafe that's possible. If I need more, I can simply buy some coins. But that will be far cheaper than any web hosting solution out there. I think Maidsafe is going to disrupt many businesses. Its low profile is its biggest advantage.
