My 1st steemit Payout!

I just received my 1st steemit payout, and although it wasn't much, it did one thing- it gave me a taste of success. Prior to getting my 1st payout, everything was hypothetical and I was completely lost. I have watched video after video trying to better understand how and how much do I get paid. Even though I still don't have it all figured out, I better understand how pay outs work.

Today, I noticed a notification at the top of my wallet that had a button to claim my rewards. I have to be honest, I was afraid to click it, and do something I didn't mean to do. I looked up an old post by @profitgenerator where several people better explained how to claim my rewards. The post's responses did a good job of calming my nerves about clicking the button. I didn't know what would happen, and I didn't want my money to be sent to the wrong place.

The results were right in line with what they said on the post. My reward was distributed as Steem Power and Steem Dollars. I now have an updated balance, and I look forward to the next step of transferring and leveraging my rewards. Any advice for using my rewards?
