Hmmm: I am stuck with this, again: I can't login using Hivesigner to delegate... I've had this issue for a long time now, and can only access Hive with Hivesigner through Peakd...

If you are on a PC then I find Keychain more convenient than Hivesigner. You can ask around on the Hive Discord channels for help.

That's interesting... Only the third. I really have no clue how this platform works. I want to get stuck in. Can you offer any advice for a complete novice? Basics around commenting, liking, posting, reblogging. I don't quite grasp the system... I know nothing about crypto-anything.... Have I bitten off more than I can chew!? 😄

Any tips for a complete novice. I can't quite seem to figure out the system for liking, post etc and how it relates to the currency.. Feeling really out of my depth.... Thank you for your reply

Ehm, well its quite a big and complex system, so it will take some time to learn and get used too :D

So liking, most of us here don't go under 85% voting power which is equal to 11, 100% votes every day, your voting power (vp) recharges daily. At the moment you can only like with 100% because of your hive power (hp) when you get above 500 Hive power, you will be able to adjust it to other procentages :D

In the beginning you don't have a lot of recourse credits (RC) which means you are limited to how often you can post, like or comment, it will be no problem fast, as it doesn't require that much RC to be here :D.

So some set amount of HBD (Hive Back Dollar) is printed daily and giving out which is what deturments the reward pool (all posts rewards combined on the blockchain)

We do have a few website which can help you go through the information which is good when you are starting, but I can't for the love of myself remember anyone of the websites, I will let you know if I remember xD

Hive works differently to other social platforms, but you can use it in similar ways. Find people who share your interests and comment where you can. Don't worry too much about voting to start with as you can't give much anyway. There are various contests and posting themes you could get involved with. Make it fun for yourself and see what happens.

I found my way intuitively mostly, @ninasophia - just looking and bringing awareness into it all! It took me a year or so to even open my wallet and get familiar with the different categories of 'currency'.... it helped me to use Peakd rather than the root Hive.blog, and to download the Dapplr App on my phone - but mostly I found my way by joining communities and commenting on posts that interested me, following others whose posts I enjoyed, sharing my own blogs and podcasts... :-) Hope that helps just a little! My best tip is never mind trying to comprehend it all at once: take one element at a time and delve into it until it's clearer! Blessings powerful woman!!xxxx
