Im tired

Im tired of the stigma attached to disability
Tired of my provincial government avoiding reality

Lets change the definition they say
Well put more people to work that way

Oh they can work one day out of the year
How lovely you dont meet the definition cheer cheer

Look at all the money we save save save
Here you go my business friends let the disabled work and live in a cave

Oh that 3 percent increase well cut it in half
Give it to our rich friends oh laugh laugh laugh

Oh that basic income pilot project well say its no good
There goes there nutrition and healthy food

Were not going to please people any more is what she said.
Would she say the same thing if we changed her job definition instead

Am I jaded oh probably so
Its 2018 and we still have poverty and makes feel low

You there reading this poetic rant
What if i changed a definition in your life which forced you to do something you just simply cant

You see this government has not thought it through
For what happens to me can happen to you

They always cut benefits from the disabled and poor
And then give there 1 percent friends more and more

I wonder what the minister would say if we forced her to work for minimum wage
Under heavy stress conditions, With a debilitating health issue and at her age

She would not be so quick to change the definition if she was in our shoe
For you see it would effect her negatively too
