Our life like fire

One time when I wen't to the beach with team mates after a basketball league, we setup a campfire and enjoyed the night sky a long with a couple of drinks. The cool sea breeze, the starry night sky, it was wonderful.

Staring at the fire,
I thought about how the life of the fire was somewhat similar to ours,
it starts out small, a tiny flickering flame glowing,

it grows when you put more fuel for it,
just like us, we develop from the nourishment of the food and experiences we encounter,

like wild fire that becomes dangerous and uncontrollable,
we too experience that in our life,

we experience moments in our life that just make us want to burst into rage
because of the things we can't control or the things that happened to us.

with fiery passion, the spark of two lovers ignite a love
bringing a new light of fire into the world.

like fire, all it takes is a small ember of inspiration to ignite our desire
a desire that would burn so brilliant it's sparks would inspire and ignite others

like fire we can also be extinguished, the fuel that gives life to our flames
can be taken away by others, the same way we put water to a fire.
