They are everywhere. The biggest rituals are those that are performed by mostly 'unaware' masses.
Take the "Ice Bucket Challenge" from a few years ago..
ICE US ICE US ICE US, as a Baptismal Font is dumped over the crown of some, wet sap... ICE, US....ISIS. You were chanting to ISIS while baptizing yourselves. Isn't that neat?

Interesting.
I made sure to vote, because I had a great interest in one candidate. Sheriff is an extremely important role in America, and particularly today.
I spoke with the County Clerk, who personally handed me my ballot (OR is vote by mail only), which I found extremely endearing. After I filled out my ballot (voting for her and Sheriff) I called her again, and she personally received my ballot from my hands, after watching me sign it.
I'm completely in agreement with you regarding partisan races and politics. Sheriff, and County Clerks, are a different matter.

As I just told @logiczombie a week or two ago, I feel that the Local Elections are where it is at. I still believe in engaging in the same way you do, it is just that, almost no-one else does.
Folks are taught to do nothing for 4 years, and then act like they are some Virtuous Angel on 11/3, then go back to sleep until it is time to choose their 'Lesser' Evil Idol again for the next Pro-Wrestling match. Meanwhile their local communities fall to pieces when they actually had the chance to do something there.
I will Volt and Fight for things like keeping cell towers off of the tops of school houses, or near communities. I'll vote to stop someone pouring toxic chems anywhere our area, and encourage all to do the same.
But, this shit show for the President/CEO of the Corporation USA Inc., really irritates the hell out of me, seeing so many fledglings following the piper's pretty tune....
