Please help with this quandary.

Hello fellow Steemers, I hope all is well.

I have a question that has been causing me some consternation. If you add two things together you end up with a sum of the two things. 1+1=2, 1+3=4. Cold + precipitation = snow. The sum of the two products is known, such that, 5+4=? Or spark + gas = ?

So here's the thing, we as a planet face two significant problems. Climate change and overpopulation. What is the sum of both products? If you add climate change and overpopulation what is the sum called?

Climate change + Overpopulation = X

What is X? What is it called? How do we acknowledge or identify it? I'm open to suggestions, because it will define the next period of our existence. We have begun to feel it's gentle poke, soon it'll be a prod, eventually it'll be a mauling.
