Mighty moss

Moss never really sleeps. It’s just hanging out, waiting for the first sign of spring to swap its olive look for a punchy yellow or neon green. The coolest part? Moss can totally dry out and look dead, but just a few drops of water will snap it right back to life.

These little guys are some of the oldest, toughest plants on the planet. They can live basically anywhere and do a ton for the environment, like helping form soil, keeping the ground moist, and even cleaning the air.

They are used as natural "pollution alarms" to check how clean the air is.
