A popular snack in Vietnam

“Bỏng ống” (tube burns in English) is a popular snack in Vietnam made from rice or corn. This snack is cylindrical and has a hollow center. The main ingredient is rice or corn. It can be added beans, peanuts, sesame, biscuits, instant noodles ... People also add more or less sugar depending on taste.
Tube burns are made by tube extruders. First, ingredients are mixed together. Then poured into the tube extruder. Under great pressure, the extrusion tube has a very high temperature that make tube burns cooked. Finally, tube burns are cut by machine or by hand.
