Look, it's a useful enough platform, and I understand why people like it.

What I don't understand, is why I have to download an update almost every time I use it.

It's my lucky day! Discord informs me, as I try to submit another Homesteading post for OCD curation. A new update is ready!

Why can't Discord just update itself, like every other piece of software?

Why must I download and install a new .deb package, and THEN still wait for Discord to update itself once I start the new install?

I don't fell lucky. I feel like an idiot for getting myself suckered into using such an annoying hunk of crap.

Should we also talk about the many upgrade ads they send?

Pay for Nitro! Get access to new and increasing useless 'features'!

Buy a sticker! Buy a skin! Gift Nitro to a friend!

Fuck Discord. Make a product worth buying, and I'll buy it. As your crap stands, it's all I can handle not to uninstall it, and burn the drive it used to reside on.

If it had a few functionality bugs and a tendency to crash, I would think it was released by the LEO team.
