Thinking you know everything

source

Thousands of years have passed since Socrates said, “All I know is that I know nothing,” and yet those who think they know everything are still a lot louder online than those who think otherwise. Social media apps are flooded with people who think they know it all.

Most people who think they know everything about their own religion and other religions are the ones which spread that propaganda and prejudice. Can we come together and make a derogatory slur at those people who think they know everything about everything, when in reality all they have is confusion and lies.

People who believe that they know everything should first talk to a farmer, well educated people in such a case are less arrogant.

Why do some people insist on reinventing the wheel and failing miserably when someone right next to them already has it figured out? It is Ego that is the bottleneck. The smartest people I know ask questions constantly and credit everyone. The social called experts who reject all opinions are usually those who have stagnated at the same point after several years.

Great leaders learn from subordinates, beginners and even critics. The insecure ones act like they have all the answers, those people are going nowhere. I thought I knew everything in my 20s. This is what really contributed to years of self inflicted blunders and sorrows and disgrace. Now I take all the information from anyone who is ready to give it to me, no matter who it is. I've been humbled.
