A poem to accompany

Life needs emptiness:
the caterpillar sleeps in a void called a cocoon until it becomes a butterfly.
Music needs a void called silence to be heard.
A poem needs the blank of the blank sheet of paper to be written.
And people, to be beautiful and loved, must have an emptiness within them.
Most find the opposite; think good is to be full.
These are the people who find themselves full of truth and wisdom and speak without stopping.
They are annoying when they are not authoritarian.
Beautiful people are those who speak little and know how to listen.
It is easy for these people to love.
They are full of emptiness.
And it is in the emptiness of distance that the longing lives ...
