Magic: the Gathering is Trying to Copy Splinterlands

}

Splinterlands is the pioneer in NFT collectible card gaming and launched in 2018.

Seeing the surge in NFT gaming Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner said that they are pursuing the technology and plan to apply it to his company's portfolio of games.

Magic: the Gathering may try to follow the footsteps of Splinterlands in terms of being an NFT game.

While Magic: the Gathering was originally tradable with the Magic: the Gathering Online client, the newer version of the online game, Magic: the Gathering Arena has not followed suit and limits player interactions and trading of online items.

Magic: the Gathering Arena game may look aesthetically better than Magic: the Gathering Online, but has lost its collectibility aspect as you cannot buy, sell or trade your virtual cards.

What do you think? Will the Magic: the Gathering NFT gamer succeed?
