How does Toby work?

The Toby browser extension lives on every new tab page. This was designed purposely to help surface relevant information to you throughout the day. To use Toby, simply create a collection and drag any open tabs from the right into a collection - it will close the tab for you. As is Toby stores your tabs locally on your computer but we recommend creating a Toby account in order to activate sync and a ton of extra features like sharing. A Toby account also gives us the ability to provide restoration services on lost collections and tabs (within reason).

Toby’s strength is being able to speed dial the user into workflows or into important assets. Instead of using the search function on various tools (including email and chat) Toby helps navigate these different tools based on the tabs you’ve added. This also applies to users who use Toby for personal productivity, it’s the best way to access and retrieve content immediately.

How do I create a Toby account?

如何创建Toby帐号？

There are 2 ways to create a Toby account. Sign up on the website and then install the extension or if you’ve already installed the extension from the Chrome store you can sign up within the app. If you choose to skip the account creation process you can still continue to use Toby, however all of your information will be stored locally. Meaning you won’t be able to access your tabs on a different computer.

Organizations unlocks collaboration and sharing for the entire team. To create one - simply hover beside "My Collection" and create give a name to your organization.

Tags are a great way to organize your collections. There are many uses some of which include to-dos, clients, projects, and more. The maximum number of tags you can have are 8.
