My life as a model

Many times, I get request from young folks aspiring to become models, thinking it is a glamorous profession, but if you ask me, that’s not always the case. Modelling, especially in Nigeria is a big challenge, I'm Nnochiri Chimaobi, and I'm a Nigerian model.

Working in the industry I've discovered that most often models in Nigeria are underpaid, and work with both unqualified and inexperienced event organisers.
Such people lack creativity and passion for fashion.

I'm 6.2ft tall and I work with Krimson modeling Agency in Akwa ibom State, Uyo.

I'm a glamour model and I've been modelling for two years.
And the industry is challenging, from daily work out, lean looks and shredded body to sticking with scarcely any food as diet.
I'm a student and the blend hasn't been really cool.

Most often, the passion for thin, androgynous male models has led to competition between men and women for the same gigs, and several designers have used female models in recent menswear shows.
At such the competition gets feisty.

Well looking back, I've not made the money yet but if I'd commend myself I'd say it was actually worth the try.
