CryptoKitties!?
Apparently Ethereum's blockchain is infested with... kitties?
This October a game which allows it's users to purchase and breed crypto-kittens has launched using Ethereum's blockchain as its backbone. To me this seems like a strange spin off of Pokemon-Go with a crypto twist but, for some people it has actually turned out to be a lucrative investment.
As of now 7.6 million dollars have already been spent on this silly game. Plus it's using roughly 11% of Ethereum's blockchian traffic. I can't wrap my head around why anyone would spend money on a digital Beanie Baby but people are actually buying these things at prices that range from 100,000. Do you think these are here to stay or just quick scheme to make a buck and clog up the ether blockchain for a bit?
