Bitcoin Volatility

Can someone better explain why bitcoin has been so volatile lately? At one point yesterday it was worth 12KandIthoughtitiscrossingabarrierandthenitrevertedbacktolow12K and I thought it is crossing a barrier and then it reverted back to low11K today. To anyone reading this, what's your take? Thanks
