NEO decentralized exchange tutorial- switcheo.exchange
-
you will need a private encrypted key: download the neon wallet from https://github.com/cityofzion/neon-wallet/releases
-
once downloaded, double click the neon icon and click 'create wallet'. you should use a long but memorable passphrase and click 'generate keys'.
-
click 'save your account' to download your keys to your computer when in settings, but also write down your keys for back up.
-
you can purchase NEO from Binance, which is what I recommend.
-
click 'wallet login' in the top right corner on switcheo.exchange (your keys never leave your browser, this exchange does not have access to them).
-
select your trading pair in the top left corner on switcheo.exchange
-
when placing an order, make sure you select BUY when buying, and SELL when selling.
-
click offers you want in the order book section (you can use the slider for the percentage of the selected order you want to fill).
-
the contract balance reflects the tokens from your wallet required for your buy/ sell offer.
-
under your transactions it will either say: *filling - waiting to be filled by other traders or
*filled - tokens are on their way and exchange fees processing.
if it says, 'failed', your tokens are returned. you can also cancel filling orders by clicking the red X and tokens will be returned to your wallet. -
when withdrawing from the exchange and back to your wallet, NEO can only be taken out in whole numbers. I recommend using gas (most stable) for exchange fees or switcheo, which is 50% off.
***Effect.Ai is also coming out Monday (tomorrow) on the decentralized exchange, switcheo
~thank you for reading my tutorial and I hope it helps :)
