Miss T’s Kitchen

Today I would like to take you to Miss T’s Kitchen, a country Jamaican restaurant and bar that offers healthy, home-style Jamaican dishes and beverages.
The restaurant was opened in May 2009. The opening of this restaurant is the fulfilling of the lifelong dream of the owner Anna-Kay Tomlinson, also known as
″Miss T″.

The lovely Miss T.

Miss T always wanted to bring fine Jamaican country cooking to the public. Miss T’s Kitchen is the result of her passion for cooking, her knowledge of Caribbean herbs and spices and her years of catering experience.

When entering the restaurant I saw some locals sitting at a table and I thought: If locals eat here, the food must be good.

Locals enjoying a good meal.

The interior of the restaurant is colourful and really interesting. The tables are brightly painted and there is a lot of artwork on the walls.

Wise word of Mr. Bob Marley...

At Miss T’s Kitchen each dish is presented with a very creative twist. The food can be served in Dutch pots, also known as Dutchies.
You can order dishes like crispy plantain chips, country style roast yam and salt fish, authentic spicy jerk chicken salad, shrimp, BBQ chicken, curry goat, oxtail, rice and peas and also salads.

We ordered the famous Miss T’s Oxtail with rice and peas and also fried fish with fried cornmeal.

After these delicious main dishes, we decided to share a dessert, we ordered a bread pudding. I was so anxious to try it that I forgot to take a picture when it was brought at the table.

But I can assure you that we finished this dessert in a record time. This was definitely the best dessert I had during my time in Jamaica.

Dining at Miss T’s Kitchen was a real Jamaican experience, with the taste, smells sights and sounds of the island.
