Un paseo por Santa Rosa (Esp/Engl)

Hola amigos de Hive, espero que estén muy bien.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un pequeño recuerdo de mi viaje a Venezuela. Durante esos días tuve la oportunidad de visitar Santa Rosa, en Barquisimeto, estado Lara. Salimos temprano desde El Cují; recorrimos aproximadamente 15 a 20 kilómetros hasta llegar a Santa Rosa. Esta vez fui acompañada de mi papá y nos fuimos en moto.

Antes de llegar visitamos a una familia y después continuamos nuestro recorrido hasta este hermoso pueblo, conocido principalmente por ser el hogar de la Divina Pastora, una de las advocaciones marianas con mayor devoción en Venezuela.

Santa Rosa es un pueblo con mucha historia y tradición. Según la tradición, la imagen de la Divina Pastora llegó a este lugar en el siglo XVIII por una confusión. Cuando posteriormente intentaron trasladarla a otro templo, la imagen se volvió muy pesada y no pudieron moverla. Los habitantes interpretaron esto como una señal de que la Virgen quería quedarse allí, y desde entonces Santa Rosa quedó profundamente ligada a la historia y devoción de la Divina Pastora.

El pueblo también tiene una historia muy relacionada con la fe de sus habitantes. Después del terremoto de 1812, que causó grandes daños en Barquisimeto y otras poblaciones de la región, la imagen de la Divina Pastora fue considerada por muchos creyentes como un símbolo de protección y esperanza. Con el paso de los años, Santa Rosa se convirtió en un importante lugar de peregrinación.

Hoy en día es un lugar bonito para conocer, caminar por sus calles, visitar el Santuario de la Divina Pastora, conocer la plaza y disfrutar de diferentes lugares para comer. También hay variedad de restaurantes y sitios para pasar un rato agradable en familia.

Ese día, además, nos tocó vivir una pequeña aventura porque comenzó a llover. Y nosotros andábamos en moto. Aunque nos mojamos un poco, ahora lo recuerdo con mucho cariño, porque son precisamente esas experiencias sencillas las que terminan quedándose en nuestra memoria.

Nos tomamos unas fotos, disfrutamos del paseo y después regresamos a casa.

Fue un día sencillo, pero muy especial: un paseo con mi papá, una visita a mi Divina Pastora y un recuerdo más de mi querida Venezuela.

Hay lugares que uno visita, pero hay otros que además de visitar, los lleva para siempre en el corazón.

Today I would like to share with you a little memory from my trip to Venezuela. During those days, I had the opportunity to visit Santa Rosa, in Barquisimeto, Lara State. We left early from El Cují and traveled approximately 15 to 20 kilometers before reaching Santa Rosa. This time, I was accompanied by my father, and we traveled by motorcycle.

Before arriving, we visited a family, and then we continued our journey to this beautiful town, which is mainly known for being the home of the Divine Shepherdess (Divina Pastora), one of the most deeply venerated Marian devotions in Venezuela.

Santa Rosa is a town full of history and tradition. According to tradition, the image of the Divine Shepherdess arrived there in the 18th century due to a mix-up. When people later tried to move the image to another church, it suddenly became extremely heavy and they were unable to move it. The locals interpreted this as a sign that the Virgin wanted to remain there, and from that moment on, Santa Rosa became deeply connected to the history and devotion surrounding the Divine Shepherdess.

The town also has a history closely connected to the faith of its people. After the earthquake of 1812, which caused extensive damage in Barquisimeto and other towns in the region, many believers came to regard the image of the Divine Shepherdess as a symbol of protection and hope. Over the years, Santa Rosa became an important pilgrimage destination.

Nowadays, it is a lovely place to visit, walk through its streets, visit the Sanctuary of the Divine Shepherdess, explore the town square, and enjoy different places to eat. There are also a variety of restaurants and places where you can spend a pleasant time with family.

That day, we also had a little adventure because it started to rain—and we were riding a motorcycle! Although we got a little wet, I now remember it very fondly, because it is precisely these simple experiences that end up becoming part of our most cherished memories.

We took some pictures, enjoyed the trip, and then headed back home.

It was a simple day, but a very special one: a trip with my father, a visit to my beloved Divine Shepherdess, and another beautiful memory of my dear Venezuela.

There are places that we visit, but there are others that, besides visiting, we carry with us forever in our hearts.
