parenting, the process of raising children and providing them with protection and care in order to ensure their healthy development into adulthood.
Or Parenting or child rearing promotes and supports the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual development of the child exclusively biological... So for you be a good parent you must be able to take care of your child support and protect them in all aspects of life till he/she became an adult.

 Types of parenting

1.AUTHORITARIAN PARENTING:

Authoritarian parenting is an extremely strict parenting style. It places high expectations on children with little responsiveness. This type of parent, they focus more on obedience, discipline, control rather than nurturing their children. They expect the child not to make mistakes and to obey them.
2. PERMISSIVE PARENTING:

Permissive parenting is a type of parenting style that placeslow demands with high responsiveness. Permissive parents tend to be very loving, yet provide few guidelines and rules. These parents do not expect mature behavior from their children and often seem more like a friend than a parental figure. Where the parents find it hard to say no as to not upsetting the children.
3. UNINVOLVED PARENTING:

Uninvolved parenting — also called neglectful parenting, which obviously carries more negative connotations — is a style of parenting where parents don't respond to their child's needs or desires beyond the basics of food, clothing, and shelter.
They think taking of the children is not their responsibilities.

Principles of good parenting

  1. WHAT YOU DO MATTERS. Whether it's your own behaviors or the way you treat other people, your children are learning. "This is one of the most important principles," we should be very careful of what we do in the presence of our children. "What you do makes a difference...Don't just react to issues aks yourself, What do I want to accomplish, and is this likely to produce that result?"

2.YOU CANNOT BE TOO LOVING. "It is simply not possible to spoil a child with love,"What we often think of as the product of spoiling a child is never the result of showing a child too much love. It is usually the consequence of giving a child things in place of love -- things like leniency, lowered expectations, or material possessions. at time not letting them know how it feel to make things happen is not good the should also be independent of something.

  1. BE INVOLVED IN YOUR CHILD LIFE. "Being an involved parent takes time and is hard work, and it often means rethinking and rearranging your priorities. It frequently means sacrificing what you want to do for what your child needs to do. Be there mentally as well as physically and spiritual. It your duty as a parent to the first to know what is happening in your child's life. Not the nanny, teacher other family members or friends .you should be able to detect when something is wrong and how to be corrected. Make them your friend create time for them talk, play, work, eat and pray together as family.

Being involved does not mean doing a child's homework -- or correcting it. "Homework is a way for teachers to know whether the child is learning or not, if you do their homework you are not helping at all .letting the teacher know what the child is to do.

  1. ESTABLISHED A RULE. If you don't manage your child's attitude when he/she is young, they will have a hard time learning how to manage himself when are older and you aren't around. Any time of the day or night, you should always be able to answer these three questions: Where is my child? Who is with my child? What is my child doing? The rules your child has learned from you are going to shape the rules he applies to himself.
I believe with this rules one can be able to be a good parent
