Lentinus squarrosulus

Walking through the bushes not far from my house, my eyes finally fell on a group of white mushrooms growing on a rotten tree trunk that had started to rot. It looks like this is a type of white oyster mushroom or in Latin Lentinus squarrosulus. The white mushrooms that I found consisted of 4 mushrooms growing in groups.

From some information that I have gathered, this mushroom can be consumed. But it has not been cultivated by the surrounding community. Lentinus squarrosulus grows wild on rotten hardwood trunks. The fleshy white color and spots on the cap are the characteristics of this type of mushroom.

Here are some photos of the Lentinus squarrosulus mushroom that I can share, I took them using my cellphone camera from various positions.
