Bird feeder for Sparrows near my house

I had been observing that many birds are visiting my house every day. Everyday morning they are plenty in numbers. They are probably looking for some food. I thought why not hang some feed for the birds.

I made the above bird feeder myself. It is quite simple one. I used coconut shells and iron string to make this one. I had to drill a hole on two ends of the coconut shell and attach it to tur string to hang them on a nearby tree.

I noticed the sparrow visiting this nearby tree in the morning. Probably they are looking for some insects to feed on. I thought maybe providing them some feed would be helpful.

From my house this tree is accessible and I pulled the tree towards me a little bit and hanged this feeder. I might have to do the same to refill the coconut shell of at all it gets over.

I think it will probably take some time for the sparrows to gain trust on that feed and start consuming them. I hope there isn't any menace from squirrels trying to explore what that is all about. I have not seen any sparrows yet. Hopefully they will come soon. Let's see.
