How does voting work on Steemit?

As you know, here on Steemit, your vote has value.

That value depends on how much Steem Power you have, but also on how much Voting Power you have

VP is the 'energy' that you use when you vote (in %).
You can imagine it as an energy bar.
And here's how it works:

How much VP do you use when you vote?

• Whenever you vote, you spend 2% of your VP

How much VP do you get per day?

• Per day, you recharge 20% of your used VP (~0.83% / hour)

What can I do with this info?

After I've learn this, two strategies came to my mind:

• Using a lot of VP whenever you are on Steemit, so that you recharge more VP per day

• Voting only when you have 80%+ VP, so that each votes is more valuable, but voting more often
