Good morning, today I have the pleasure of presenting my new NFT titled Portrait of Pheska.

Buen día, hoy tengo el placer de presentar mi nuevo NFT titulado Retrato de Pheska.

Yesterday, after concluding the auction of my first NFT titled Repentant(First failure, but I keep moving forward 😅), hours later I decided to mint another of my surrealist works and chose Portrait of Pheska.

Ayer, después de concluir la subasta de mi primer NFT titulado Arrepetida( primer fracaso pero sigo adelante😅), horas más tarde, decidí acuñar otra de mis obras surrealistas y escogí a Retrato de Pheska.

Repetant/Arrepetida 🎨

The process of minting the drawing as an NFT was faster than when minting Repentant, although the ‘super powerful Cuban internet’ delayed me a little and caused a small problem. With the images already uploaded, when pressing the Mint button, they appeared as not loaded. When the internet improved, I was able to mint the work.

El proceso de acuñar el dibujo como NFT fue más rápido que al acuñar "ARREPENTIDA" aunque "la súper potente internet cubana" me retrasó un poco y creó un pequeño problema. Con las imágenes ya subidas, al presionar el botón Mint, aparecían como no cargadas.Cuando mejoró la internet, pude mintiar la obra.

The physical artwork "Portrait of Pheska" was created in 2006, and for its 20th anniversary I decided to mint it. It is the result of several studies to achieve the complex double‑image effect.

La obra física de "Retrato de Pheska" la realicé en el año 2006 y por sus 20 años de creada, decidí acuñarla. Es el resultado de varios estudios para lograr el complicado efecto de doble imagen.

Getting to know Portrait of Pheska/Conociendo Retrato de Pheska 🎨

I create a double-image effect by combining elements of portraiture and landscape. The piece is an experimentation with perception and illusion. It is the interconnection of humanity with nature. It plays with our perception—the double image where the landscape itself portrays the girl that is Pheska.At first glance, the work appears as a portrait of a person with a beard and wild hair but upon closer inspection, we discover the second image: a landscape featuring a nude woman fishing.
This artwork is the result of several exercises where I created new forms starting from everyday objects or elements of nature. Enjoying the process of recreating elements, I began sketching ideas where I could draw a landscape that simultaneously formed a face. Fusing these two themes in the drawing made it quite challenging to title once finished. It took me a while until I settled on naming it "Portrait of Pheska"
The piece was created on heavyweight paper measuring 34.5 cm x 49 cm. I used HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B pencils.

Creé un efecto de doble imagen combinando elementos del retrato y del paisaje. La pieza es una experimentación con la percepción y la ilusión. Es la interconexión de la humanidad con la naturaleza. Juega con nuestra percepción: la doble imagen donde el propio paisaje retrata a la joven Pheska. A primera vista, la obra parece el retrato de una persona con barba y cabellos salvajespero al observar con más atención, descubrimos la segunda imagen: un paisaje en el que aparece una mujer desnuda pescando.
Esta obra es el resultado de varios ejercicios en los que creé nuevas formas a partir de objetos cotidianos o elementos de la naturaleza. Disfrutando el proceso de recrear elementos, comencé a esbozar ideas en las que podía dibujar un paisaje que, al mismo tiempo, formara un rostro. Fusionar estos dos temas en el dibujo hizo que resultara bastante desafiante ponerle título una vez terminado. Me tomó un tiempo hasta que decidí llamarlo Retrato de Pheska. La pieza fue realizada sobre papel de alto gramaje con medidas de 34,5 cm x 49 cm. Utilicé lápices HB, 2B, 4B y 6B. 🎨
