Good morning. I present to you the video of my reflective drawing 'I Want to Breathe!'
En el video podrán ver detalles de la obra. A todos los videos que realizaba le ponía de título Rescatando obras y el título de la obra artística porque eran dibujos realizados que no tenían un video o porque muchos fueron realizados antes de que pusieran la internet en Cuba.
In the video you will see details of the artwork. I titled all the videos I made “Rescuing Artwork” plus the name of the artistic piece, because they were drawings that didn’t have a video or because many were created before the internet was introduced in Cuba.

El dibujo realizado con lápiz HB2 y un pequeño carborcillo repesenta a niño que desea que el medio que lo rodea cambie pero la violencia, el vocabulario prosaico, los vicios, la migración, la avaricia , la demagogia y la prostitución, hacen irrespirable la atmósfera donde habita. Una atmósfera contaminada en muchos hogares donde los niños desean vivir una infancia sana y no respirar la toxicidad de los problemas de adultos donde en muchos casos, el anhelo de sus padres por tener dinero a cualquier precio, los corrompen y terminan marchitando la inocencia del infante. Esa atmósfera va matando la infancia y los niños comienzan a olvidarla y a vivir una vida de adultos.Cada detalle que se aprecia en el fondo del dibujo, forma parte del medio que rodea al niño, que con una mirada desafiante, desea respirar para vivir sanamente libre. Aún, tiene esperanza de que alguien le escuche y que todo cambie.
¡Quiero respirar! no es solo un simple dibujo reflexivo, es la triste realidad de muchos infantes . Los niños sin infancia hoy, pudieran ser adultos deformados del futuro. Por favor, si es posible, permítanle, respirar
The drawing, made with an HB2 pencil and a small charcoal stick, represents a child who longs for his surroundings to change. Yet violence, coarse language, vices, migration, greed, demagogy, and prostitution make the atmosphere he inhabits unbreathable.
It is an atmosphere polluted in many homes, where children wish to live a healthy childhood instead of breathing the toxicity of adult problems. In many cases, the parents’ desire for money at any cost corrupts them and ends up withering the child’s innocence.This poisoned air kills childhood, and children begin to forget it, forced to live adult lives. Every detail in the background of the drawing is part of the environment surrounding the child, who, with a defiant gaze, longs to breathe freely and live healthily.
He still has hope that someone will listen and that everything will change.
‘I Want to Breathe!’ is not just a reflective drawing—it is the sad reality of many children. Children without childhood today may become deformed adults tomorrow. Please, if possible, let them breathe.

Este diseño tiene un fuerte significado. Qué triste que el Estado solo está interesado en seguir acumulando riquezas y no les interesa para nada la infancia. Los niños escuchando música obscena 24/7, son víctimas del maltrato por parte de sus familiares, no tienen una buena educación porque la enseñanza no es buena en las escuelas y ya ni pruebas académicas se les hacen. La falta de corriente los ha limitado a no saber ni lo que es un cine, un parque infantil, una biblioteca y algunos padres están tan estresados que solo les interesa garantizarles la comida y a veces ni eso. Qué tristeza mi Cuba. Y no se ve el final de esto.

Exactamente. Todo en el país se destruye y la infancia no es la excepción. Un país gobernado con mentiras y malas acciones, el presente, es la mala cosecha. Lamentablemente, los niños sufren hoy la mala siembra de generaciones pasadas que aplaudieron al gobierno. Si los adultos o una fuerza superior no terminan con el ciclo, la infancia, la esperanza y la vida se perderán, no existirá buen futuro.
Exactly. Everything in the country is being destroyed, and childhood is no exception. A country ruled by lies and bad actions makes the present a bad harvest. Unfortunately, children today suffer the bad sowing of past generations who applauded the government. If adults or a higher force do not end the cycle, childhood, hope, and life will be lost; there will be no good future.
