Upgrade

I was able to upvote just now for the first time since this upgrade. That last vote was on 9/24/18. My voting power went from 100% down to 36.27% with the first vote. Why did it go down so much on this vote? The second vote it only went down to 35.66%. At this time I will not upvote much until my voting power is up around 90%. I do not know how long this could take but if it is long I can see where people could leave steemit. I am not sure what the change was trying to do but for me it was not good.
