Perivallon: Italy’s Pride Saving Our Land with AI

Hi guys, today I want to tell you about something that really got me excited!
There’s this incredible Italian project that totally blew me away, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
It’s called Perivallon, and it’s a brilliant system developed by the Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
It's a super-smart setup that uses satellites, drones, and artificial intelligence to catch people polluting or committing environmental crimes.
It’s like a high-tech superhero watching everything from above, never missing a thing!
No way eco-criminals can get away with it now, this algorithm never sleeps and can’t be bought.
It's already active and 90% effective
The project has received funding of over €4 million from the EU's Horizon Europe programme.
The project involves the Carabinieri, ARPA Lombardia, the SAFE Foundation, and a series of partners from across Europe—24 organizations from 12 different countries.
A truly international team fighting for our planet! Perivallon uses all kinds of technology: artificial intelligence, satellite imagery, drones, and even blockchain, to protect data and help law enforcement agencies perform their work more effectively.
I’m so proud to see Italy not just as a victim of eco-mafias but as a leader in fighting back with technology. And it all starts in Milan, with a great team, it's really amazing.
I really hope this project grows even bigger because we need it. Our land deserves to be protected, and with Perivallon, we’re showing we can make it happen!
And above all, I hope that Perivallon is just the beginning of a new era in which innovation and the environment go hand in hand. And that other countries and citizens will follow suit.
