Why do I need to study shit like this?

Gee, I really do wonder if lifeguards have to calculate the shortest distance between himself and the drowning child, when the child is, well, DROWNING!

I don't suppose that all lifeguards are geniuses in physics, else, why would they even take that job.

And how the hell is this supposed to be useful for ME, a PROGRAMMER?!
