[ A TRIPLE CELEBRATION; FAMILY BONDING, BIRTHDAY AND GRADUATION HELD IN FOREST HILL RESORT IN DAVAO}

Hello Asian Hive community! How are you all today? Hope you are all well today with your loved ones. For today’s vlog, let me share with you all today my family’s first time visiting my sister’s place in Davao City Philippines. We plan this trip during Christmas of 2025. We booked our ticket ahead of time and wanted to have an afternoon flight but we got delayed. From an afternoon flight to a night flight. The airplane travel time from Mactan international airport to Francisco Bangoy international Airport in Davao takes one hour.

My elder sister and I planned was to make family bonding. Thanks to my elder sister who planned for this family bonding to happen. She was my half sister from my dad. It happened, our late dad and her late mom gave birth to her and then they broke up. Then my dad met my mom and got married legally. I met her for the first time, during our father’s interment. So far, this is our first time to bond as sisters with our own families. My sister has 4 children, two are married while the other two are still studying. She has 3 grandchildren.

My sister planned that we would all go to a swimming pool resort. She arranged all of it. The venue, the food and I only pay for the soft drinks and the entrance fee. She rented a jeepney for us to reach the Forrest Hill Resort in Matina Davao.

I really like the resort, it’s in the mountain part, with flowers and with many trees around. They have a cottage with shades from the trees, clean with proper maintenance, and a landscape. They also have lifeguards on duty. My daughters enjoyed the pool together with their cousins, nephews and nieces. My sister also enjoyed the pool even though she also looked after every family member in the pool.

Before lunch, we took selfies first . All of us were happy and felt the warmth of love as a family.Then my nephew chopped the Lechon. The lechon was too big for us to consume. By the way, we also celebrate my nephews birthday and graduation in senior high school. So; it was a triple celebration. We all enjoyed the food and eating as one whole big family was different.

The resort has a kiddie pool and an adult pool. I feel a bit relieved because my daughters are teenagers already and can swim. No need for me to keep an eye on them all the time when they are in a swimming pool.

The resort also has a small playground with swings if children want to play around. It was safe since the playground was away from the pool and before the resort gate. They have guards on duty too , so the place was safe. They also have a canteen if you do not bring food and drinks. Function hall for events and staycation or overnight rooms at affordable price. The staff are welcoming, friendly and reliable.

I am blessed to have an elder sister who is very supportive, understanding and loving. It felt so good to have an elder sister and I am so grateful for finally after so many years. We spend time together. We are glad we make this happen. We all enjoyed the celebration and we do like the place where we celebrate out triple celebration. We both prayed that we would be able to do bonding every summer when our children are not in school.
