My learning from my first hive post
What I Expected:
I assumed Hive would be like other blockchains - complicated, slow, and full of fees.
What Surprised Me:
- No gas fees at all
- Instant transactions
- A social media ecosystem where users actually earn
This was something I had never experienced before.
Biggest Realization:
Hive is not just a blockchain - it’s a decentralized content platform.
Instead of companies owning your content, YOU own it and get rewarded for it.
What I Found Challenging:
- Understanding Hive Power and rewards
It’s not as simple as “post and earn”.
My Plan Going Forward:
- Stay consistent with posting
- Engage more through comments
- Learn how curation works
I’m planning to document my entire journey as I learn more about blockchain and crypto.

There are spammers who power up & just throw garbage everywhere specially on new ones.
Make sure to either blacklist them or mute them.
