Bringing Loon to Hive

Hello! It’s me, Rosette.🌹

I’d like to share with you some of the travel pictures I took from one of the towns here in Bohol. Approximately 24.8 km from Tagbilaran City, lies Loon, a rural town filled with hidden wonders for both national and international tourists. Here are some snapshots I took using my cellphone. Here's a self-portrait taken by my friend. Of course, I wouldn't miss the chance to take a book with me and pose in a historical area.😉

This majestic staircase is the iconic Inang-angan Stairway found in Napo, Loon, Bohol. It was declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum in the year 2010. The stairway is made with coral stones and has 5 flights and 212 steps! Sure, it was tiring to go up and down the steps while we were having a mini photoshoot. Just be careful when going down because, due to the moss that grew on the steps, they become slippery after a heavy rain. It is located just beside the Birhen sa Kasilak Church, which serves as a shortcut from the streets of Moto Sur to the coastal barangay of Napo. Here is a photo of the Birhen sa Kasilak Church.

Napo's White Sandy Beach

There's no better thing to do than go swimming on Napo's white sandy beach. If you have been to Panglao's white beaches, they are quite different from Napo's. The beach is surrounded by small mangrove trees and is littered with seashells.

Basdio, Loon

Since I am not from Loon, I have to call a friend in order to explore more of what this town has to offer. I have here a selfie of me and my best friend, Bianca, who is a local from Catagbacan Sur, Loon.

She then led me to Sandingan Island, where we found Basdio Beach. Unlike Napo's sandy beach, Basdio has a rocky surface. Although Sandingan Island has a variety of exclusive private resorts, we opt for the public beaches since they are more affordable (I'm broke, remember?).😌 Here are the photos I took while we were exploring the rocky beach of Basdio. The first two photos are during high tide.

You can see how it would be a great background for photoshoots. Aside from the view, it is also secluded, which is a plus if you are camera-shy when people are around. This is all for now. Thanks and adios!
