Weight loss progress!
It’s been 8 days since my last post about my transformation. The aim was to change my lifestyle, to stop constantly eating sweets, drinking cola and consuming too many calories. Another goal was to incorporate exercise into my daily routine; I simply wanted to improve my quality of life.
What have I managed to achieve?
Diet
I’m certainly pleased with myself because I’ve been in a calorie deficit the whole time over these 8 days. Not a single day went by where I ate more than I needed. But it didn’t go quite as well as I’d have liked. Over the 8 days, I snacked 4 times in the evening before going to bed; often it was something unhealthy like crisps. Unfortunately, that’s just how I am – when I’m in a bad mood or feeling stressed, I feel like eating. I’ll swap sweetened drinks for sugar-free, zero-calorie ones. So, in the long run, it’s still not healthy... but it’s summer and I’m really thirsty. I hope to change this soon and at least cut down on how much I have.

Sport
I’m actually really pleased with myself in this area. I went cycling four times and went for a run twice. There were also plenty of walks with the kids and outdoor play. Below, I’ll share some photos of my activities to prove I’m not lying :D

Weight
Unfortunately, because of all that evening snacking, I didn’t achieve as good a result as I’d have liked. I feel I could have achieved a lot more this week, but I’m still glad I’ve finally started doing something.
My weight is currently 94.1 kilos, so that’s 1.4 kilos less.

Motivation
Starting with my diet, it’s a really big step in the right direction – I don’t feel the pressure to eat constantly and I’m eating very little, yet I’m not hungry apart from those evening binges. I’m certainly very happy that my daughters are cheering me on

I’m really keen on physical activity and it brings me joy rather than feeling like a chore. I hope the next 7 days will be free of evening snacking and feature an even bigger calorie deficit!
Sometimes it’s not a lack of motivation, but simply a lack of time. I’m a father of two children to whom I need to – and want to – devote a lot of attention. I’ve got a full-time job, trading, writing on Hive, a bit of me-time in front of the computer, my wife, cycling, running. There are lots of responsibilities and the day is short. I hope I’ll manage to juggle everything so that it doesn’t get the better of me.
I’m really glad you’re visiting my profile, supporting me and leaving comments!

Is hard to start with diet and active life, but it brings a lot of benefits - less weight and more energy! 😀
Physical activity is very good for your health. Start small, 8 days is little time to see results. You will see that in several months the body appreciates getting out of the routine. A pleasure to read you
Congrats, man! I’m going through something pretty similar myself, trying to build a healthier routine. Since I quit smoking recently, I ended up gaining 20 kilos over the last 6 months. Luckily, I used to be a skinny guy haha
I’m getting used to working out and trying to do it at least 4 times a week. I know how hard it can be in the beginning, and watching what you eat is even harder haha
That's a good one sir.
Motivation is one thing that keeps us moving in every aspect of life. I don't eat sweets but I'm in love with Coca-Cola drinks and the rest. Just trying to control it tho.
I'll give it my all!
It’s only been a short while, but I already feel better. My stomach doesn’t feel as full or bloated anymore :)
In my case, pregnancy is probably the main factor. I’m very active in my daily life with the kids, so I don’t really do formal workouts that often. But sweets... I just love them! 😅
How much do you weigh now?
I totally understand, routines with kids are always more demanding than they seem, but it’s wonderful!
I’ve always weighed between 60 and 65 kilos, and now I’m at 83 kilos. For a guy who’s 1.80m tall, I’m still within the normal range haha😅
It’s me on a diet 🤣😂🤣😂

LoL its 35-40% your weight
It’s time to stop it!
Yeahhh haha, that weight gain was pretty shocking for me 😂!
As I work from home in IT, I became too lazy and of course the weight happens after staying day after day on the couch or at the desk. But surprisingly to reading your post, I've started a diet just yesterday and for the next two weeks I will be having a routine with it. I too plan to make sport and build some muscles while fat might slowly retreat.
😅😅, that's much. 😅
I'll write to you in two weeks to see what the result is!
I'm struggling with my weight for my whole life. I'm addicted to food, especially things like ice cream, pizza and I also love beer. I know how hard it is to keep the healthy habbits for a long period of time. You made amazing decision to take care of your health and body. Its not gonna be easy, some days you gonna fail but at the end its a long run. Don't feel bad for days when you fail, just try to have less of those days when you eat something not planned. Being consistent for 80% of time, will lead you to insane progress anyway. Having a family - is hard, its a lot of work and commitment, but also its a big support. I wish I had someone around me who supported me durning my diet periods. I wish you a lot of energy and consistency through your journey and I'm waiting for more posts about your transformation as its one of my favorite topics.
Thanks for the kind words. I'll try to maintain at least that 80%. You're right—beer is good, especially in this hot weather. I've still got plenty of motivation for now; we'll see how things look in a few weeks.
