Steem needs a VERIFIED tick

With Steem blowing up and the massive influx of influential people to Steem, i think the addition of a "Verified" tick next to the user's name needs to be considered to ensure that the person is indeed who he/she is and is an influential member of the community. This will make it easier for users to follow the people that matter and possibly help reduce fraud through a verification process.
Please let me know if you think this is a good idea.

thats the problem with relying on a photograph with a piece of paper with your name on it. Zuckerberg next? lol
I agree. I sometimes don't vote or reply because I have a doubt about the person's authenticity There has to be kind of a symbol next to the name that say once and for all that a new member has been verified.
