Im Jahre 1735 erbauten Freiherr Ernst Johann Philipp Hartmann von Buseck und seine Frau Maria Freiin von Butlar das Barockschloss in Calmesweiler, das bis 1866 im Besitz derer von blieb und ihren Aufstieg so wie ihre Macht in der ehemaligen Herrschaft Eppelborn dokumentierte.

1884 wurden die umgebenden Wirtschaftsgebäude abgerissen und der Park mit Weiler eingelegt. Das schlichte, zweigeschossige Barockgebäude befindet sich heute in Privatbesitz, während der größten Teil des Parks mit dem Weiler der Gemeinde Eppelborn gehört.

In dem gegen Ende 19. Jahrhunderts an der Nordseite angebauten kleinen Turm befindet sich im dritten Stockwerk eine kleine Schloßkapelle.

Schloss Buseck ist heute ein beliebter Ort, an dem Verliebte in stilvollem Ambiente die standesamtliche Ehe schließen können. Lesungen, Vorträge, Konzerte und Wechselausstellungen bieten das ganzes Jahr über ein anspruchsvolles Kulturprogramm.
In 2003 wurde der Besitzer vor Schloss Buseck mit dem Denkmalpflegepreis für die vorbildliche Renovierung ausgezeichnet.

In 1735 Baron Ernst Johann Philipp Hartmann von Buseck and his wife Maria Freiin von Butlar built the Baroque palace in Calmesweiler, which remained until 1866 in the possession of them and documented their rise as well as their power in the former rule Eppelborn.

In 1884 the surrounding farm buildings were demolished and the park with hamlet inlaid. The simple, two-storey baroque building is now privately owned, while most of the park belongs to the hamlet of Eppelborn.

In the late 19th century on the north side cultivated small tower is located on the third floor of a small castle chapel.

Schloss Buseck is now a popular place where lovers in a stylish atmosphere can close the civil marriage. Readings, lectures, concerts and temporary exhibitions offer a sophisticated cultural program throughout the year.
In 2003, the owner was honored with the monument care award for the exemplary renovation in front of Schloss Buseck.
