ALCOHOLS
1.Lower alcohols are colorless , toxic liquids and they have a characteristic smell.
2. Boiling points of alcohols increase regularly with the increase in the number of carbon atom.
3. Boiling points of alcohols are much higher than those of the corresponding alkanes.
4.Among isomeric alcohols as branching increase the boiling point decrease .
