Frailty [Original Poem]
Like a falling leaf
I began to be held captive by grativity
I lost track of my own movement
and swayed helplessly towards the edge of a cliff,
It was spontaneous
Yet slow placed,
I saw how motion lost its prowess
I felt that falling is inevitable
Just like a leaf,
I am a victim of the wind
Lost my soul to an unseen force
It dragged me further to a place where my thoughts overwhelmed me
How could something so translucent scare me?
How could something invisible shake me?
I asked my self as I fall,
Is this all I'm made for,
Such a pathetic existence, with a soulless life.

Very nice poem, I identify a lot with it, sometimes we are very fragile in many situations that happen to us, a hug.
A powerful and sad extended metaphor, using the leaf as that ephemeral feeling, that swirling losing of yourself.

I think and believe we are meant for greater things. We just have to believe in ourselves and be strong enough, removing every form of fear no matter what the case maybe
You reminded me of a Kansas song ''Dust in the wind''. Unfortunately or not, this is our destiny as human beings. Yet we sometimes forget about it...you have touched these human strings in a very penetrant yet delicate way in your poem and that's just great.
