Storm & Desperation
Weary hearts and uncertain fate
Never even on our wildest thoughts
Did we expect the wrath & devastation
This storm brought.
Along with the heavy downpour
Along with the strong winds
Future & plans were wrapped in chaos
Fear was evident.
Cold nights, cold hearts
Restless souls
We began to embrace the silence of the night,
As if it were a part of us.
As I write this words on this tiny screen
I realized how this tragedy is destruction in it's horrendous form,
I wish we have known
Hoped we have done better.
I guess this is us,
Embracing the uncertainty
Accepting fates,living, surviving
This is us, still here
Breathing.

We are victims of the decisions of others, better said bad decisions, we only have to give back all our human capacity to face these processes. I loved your poem, very liberating.
The results of unknown can really toy with one at times, but how do we survived this motion?
We become strong and stronger everyday and leave without getting afraid.
