Reflections (original poetry)
then do I become
petals slowly wilting
drifting to their fall
how hard is it
to deny this mirror
hanging on the wall
if I take it down
I might see something new
a tightly knit rose aching to bloom
reflecting velvety hues in a peaceful lake of blue
an endless rainbow
caught up in a single drop of dew
joy sparkling in my children's eyes
reflecting my heart anew
a soft warm glow
from the home on pershing avenue
how will I know
what will I do
because
to take it down
might
just
break
you
