Today, Steem reached Market Capitalization comparable to Bitcoin's Market Cap from March 2013

That may sound amazing, but what Bitcoin did was unique. It was a different context, where nothing like cryptocurrency ever existed. It created an entire market for itself. But yes, even compared to Ethereum or Litecoin, Steem is by far the fastest growing cryptocurrency.
I agree, Bitcoin paved the way for other cryptocurrencies
