OUR PLANET

God created heaven and earth,
mountains rising to the sky.
Just imagine what we are worth
and the judgement in His eye.

Delegated guardians of creation,
architects causing earth's decline.
Everyone, yes every nation,
caused this, and now must toe the line!

COP24 is just another feeble attempt,
that wastes resources we could use;
empowered politicians for which I have contempt,
as they have lit the Doomsday fuse!

I however still wish to believe
somehow we could still have one more reprieve...
