Surveying

Survey research is the most well known of the research approaches and is widely used for descriptive research.
Surveys collect information from a representative sample of the survey population on such topics as consumer behaviour, attitudes and beliefs, as well as buying intentions. The strengths of these beliefs, attitudes and intentions are measured and the results extrapolated to the population as a whole. image source
