SFHL Is Going Strong!!
We’re nearing the end of Week 15 in the SFHL, and the playoffs are quickly approaching.
Here's a look at the games currently underway:
Right now @full-measure, @bacchist, @will-zewe, and @shenanigator lead the pack. @heroic15397 and @jl-r-h round out the top 6, and @oilerado43 is on the bubble.
@full-measure has been hanging out in 1st place most of the way, and if the gap doesn't close soon it'll be tough to catch him. @bacchist (the league founder) has been on the rise after starting slow, and seems in good shape for a playoff run.
There is still a lot of time left in the regular season, but if the season were to end today, @full-measure and @bacchist would have bye weeks during the first round.
There was a time when @heroic15397 was rivaling @full-measure and @shenanigator the Most Roster Moves title, but he's faded lately and won't contend for the award.
It's our hope that this league can serve as a proof of concept for how fantasy sports can interact with the Steem blockchain.
None of the managers have paid to join the league, and everyone will earn rewards in the end, based on the final regular season standings. (The prize pool for the regular season just passed 500 SBD!!)
Going forward we’d like to create a prize pool to compete for in the playoffs. We’d also like to seed an initial prize pool for a new league next year, and set aside some funds for the effort to develop a fantasy sports platform based on the Steem blockchain. So from here forward, 50% of our post rewards will form the playoff prize pool and 25% will seed next year’s league. The remaining 25% will be contributed to the Fantasy Sports Development Fund (to be announced later this month).
